I come to Prairie Hill after nearly 20 years working in the public sector. I have my BS in Urban and Regional Studies with a minor in History from UW-Green Bay. I have two children, the youngest is currently in 8th grade at PHWS. I began teaching knitting in 2009. What I love about teaching children the most is seeing in them the awakening of confidence and pride that comes from making something that is both useful and beautiful. The cultural/geographical/historical study of knitting and wool production is what fascinates me the most about the Fiber Arts. I am honored to practice the same skills and keep alive the traditions of so many generations of women before me, from all over the world.
