Prairie Hill Employment Opportunities

At Prairie Hill the arts are used extensively as a catalyst for learning and engaging students in the process of learning. Drama, music, strings, painting, drawing, and sculpting help develop intellectual and emotional growth that increases the student's creative capacities, and lays a strong foundation for creative and critical thinking.

Instrumental instruction begins with wooden pentatonic flutes in 1st grade and expands to recorder by the upper grades. Strings are introduced in the 4th grade and continue through the 8th grade. Voice and speech work is an important part of each day from Wondergarden through 8th grade. Each grade class works as a team to produce and perform a major drama presentation each year as an extension of the subjects being studied.
