Welcome to Prairie Hill Waldorf School, a vibrant educational community
providing a rich academic, artistic, and practical educational experience
that brings forth the full potential of each child.
The breadth and depth of a Prairie Hill education
gives children a life of awakened abilities and a highly developed
capacity for academic achievement, creativity, self-confidence,
and self-discipline. Our graduates are prepared for advanced classes
in high school, carrying with them a strong foundation for adaptability,
compassion, integrity, and the courage to seek out and act on what
they believe to be right and true. Waldorf curriculum draws out
the child’s innate curiosity, independent judgment, and love
of learning. The core Waldorf philosophy is that every child
has the right to develop his or her full human potential; clear, creative thought and expression; balance and compassion in
feeling; and conscience and initiative in action. Our curriculum
upholds the highest principles of academic excellence, artistic
experience, and craftsmanship in practical work, while addressing
the gifts and talents of each student. Prairie Hill Waldorf School is an independent, nonsectarian, nonprofit school based on the internationally acclaimed Waldorf curriculum serving children ages 18 months through 8th grade. We are a fully accredited school by both the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the North Central Association (NCA). We are
located in Pewaukee (Town of Delafield), Wisconsin just 30 minutes
west of Milwaukee and 45 minutes east of Madison.
