Prairie Hill Employment Opportunities

Our faculty are specially trained and certified in Waldorf education. At Prairie Hill, our goal is to keep the same class teacher from the first through the eighth grade. As teachers lead the children through the grades, their insight of each child's development grows. The insights gained and the deepening relationship with the children and parents enables the teacher to more completely develop the abilities of each child. The teacher and child develop a profound mentoring relationship.

The close community relationship established between a class and its teacher is balanced by lessons taught by subject specialists, so that the children have a healthy experience of many different adults. Subjects such as foreign languages, music, eurythmy, handwork and physical education are taught by specialty teachers.

Prairie Hill has 15 full-time teachers and 22 part-time and speciality teachers/staff, and an administrative staff of 5.
