Project Description

Carolyn Wise – Admissions CoordinatorWise-11a

“I first learned about Waldorf education 13 years ago when my eldest child was ready to start attending school.”

Stepping inside of the Wonder Garden classroom at Prairie Hill, was literally all it took for me. It was the flowing pastel silks gently adorning the windows, and the natural wooden toys. It was the indoor sandbox and miniature-sized furniture, the tiny play-kitchen, and rope swing hanging from the ceiling. It was the tiny chairs around the tiny tables with corresponding tiny aprons hanging from their hooks. Not to mention the smell of delicious, home-baked bread wafting up from the kitchen. If you’ve ever been, you know just what I mean. I had the thought, “I wish I could go back to being 4 years old again, and redo my education here.” It was at that moment, that I knew Prairie Hill was where I wanted my children to be. The energy of that one room alone was so completely nurturing, full of warmth, and love, that I made the committment then and there to Waldorf Education.

“As a Prairie Hill parent of two Prairie Hill graduates,  I have experienced hands-on the bountiful benefits that a Waldorf Education offers. I may not be able to ‘redo’ my own education as a 4-year-old, but what I am able to do is assist other parents who want to provide their children with the tremendous values a Waldorf education provides.

“As the Admissions Coordinator at Prairie Hill Waldorf School, I am committed to helping families make Waldorf education a reality.”
